Mrs. Ellen Stoianoff MADEMOISELLE MAGAZINE 420 Lexington Avenue
Dear Mrs. Stoianoff:
I'm writing to let you know of several additional acceptances. I'm to have poems in THE YALE REVIEW, TRI-QUARTERLY (issue on young writers scheduled for Fall, 1967) and SOLSTICE (England). The last mentioned rushed two poems of mine to the printer days after the magazine has been sent off. Or so I was told. A couple of things should be out soon: SALMGUNDI's Lowell issue, with two pieces, is due this month; THE ATLANTIC expects to use my things in either the February or March number. POETRY is elusive.
Thank you for hearing me out about the readings. The Academy has man- aged to locate enough money to keep us busy at least through June. I think there's to be a certain amount of publicity too. Still no im- mediate plans for a book. But I suppose a real interest might sway me. In any case I'll keep you informed.
